Pearls are Toby's reward system: daily points earned by staking SOL that translate into real benefits, including priority allocation in the $TOBY public sale.
What Are Pearls?
Pearls are reward points distributed automatically every 24 hours to SOL stakers on Toby. No claiming, no extra steps. Just stake and accumulate. Your daily share scales with the amount of SOL you have staked relative to the total pool.
Black Pearls (BP)
Black Pearls are rare, achievement-based tokens that sit above regular Pearls. You earn them through:
Winning community contests or challenges
Participating in exclusive events
Completing specific community goals
Being a top staker during a tranche
BPs recognize standout contributions. Think of them as trophies, not daily rewards.
How to Earn Pearls
Staking SOL is the primary way to earn. Beyond that:
Provide liquidity. Contribute to Toby's DeFi pools for additional Pearl rewards.
Refer friends. Share your referral link. When they join and stake, you both earn.
Join community events. Campaigns, quests, and challenges often include bonus Pearls.
Start early. Earlier participants earn significantly more Pearls per SOL (see math below).
Pearl Math
A fixed pool of Pearls is distributed each week, split proportionally across all staked SOL.
Formula:
Weekly Pearl Pool / Total Staked SOL = Pearls per day per SOL
Example, Week 0:
Pearl pool: 100K
Total staked: 1,000 SOL
Rate: 100K / 1K = 100 Pearls/day/SOL
Example, Week 5:
Pearl pool: 150K (100K base + 10K added each week)
Total staked: 5,000 SOL
Rate: 150K / 5K = 30 Pearls/day/SOL
The takeaway: earlier stakers earn dramatically more Pearls per SOL. As total stake grows, your share of the daily pool shrinks. The advantage of getting in early is real.
Why Pearls Matter
Pearls aren't just points for the sake of points. They have concrete value:
Public sale priority. If the $TOBY public sale is oversubscribed, higher Pearl balances get priority allocation.
Future ecosystem benefits. Pearls position you for upcoming distributions, features, and rewards across the Toby platform.
Fairness
Toby takes a daily snapshot of all staking activity across the platform. Rewards are calculated based on your actual contributions over each 24-hour period. No gaming, no retroactive adjustments.
