Toby Phase 1 Staking Guide: genSOL (Genesis tSOL)

This guide walks you through Phase 1 staking on Toby, how to stake / unstake genSOL (instant swap or delayed unbond) and why we are working with Sanctum’s INF liquidity.

What you’re minting (fees, supply, and liquidity)

$genSOL represents Toby’s Phase 1 staked SOL.

Upon depositing SOL, users receive genSOL at a 1:1 ratio, and the underlying SOL is staked on Solana for the duration of the holding period.

Early participants in the program will accrue the highest rewards. Supply will be initially limited and will expand through capped Genesis tranches to welcome new the stakers.

0% deposit or withdraw fees on stake.

Staking: SOL → genSOL

Steps for stakers,

  1. Connect your wallet on mainnet and open the Stake tab.

  2. Enter the SOL amount and click Stake, and go through the staking process.

  3. Upon completion, genSOL appears in your wallet.

Minting is immediate, provided the cap has not been reached.

genSOL tranches ramp like this:

  • The first tranche begins at 10,000 genSOL.

  • Once filled, there will be a short cooldown to snapshot and refill.

  • There will be multiple tranches, but getting into the early tranches has the greatest benefits.

  • You can simply hold genSOL for points, or deploy it in DeFi platforms that are working with us.

By holding genSOL, you will instantly begin to accrue Pearls.

Unstaking: genSOL → SOL

Open the Unstake tab and choose your mode:

  • Instant Unstake (Swap): Get SOL immediately at the current pool quote. There’s no market quote and no swap step; review the net amount, approve one transaction, and SOL returns to your wallet as soon as it finalizes.

  • Delayed Unstake (Unbond): Start a delayed unstake and claim at the next epoch. The 0.1% INFinity fee is included in the quote; You return later to withdraw when the epoch completes. Choose this when you’re comfortable waiting through the network’s unbond cycle to avoid price impacts.

Why we chose Sanctum?

Phase 1 is about reliability.

Sanctum’s INF pool provides deep, purpose-built liquidity for genSOL↔SOL, so stake / unstaking don’t bottleneck during busy windows. Sanctum is widely trusted among Solana users, and all transaction settlement is a single transaction. That keeps the UX predictable while we scale tranches and integrate more venues, while shipping Toby’s next products beyond Phase 1.

Quick tSOL heads-up (for later phases)

When tSOL, Toby’s native LST, launches, the app will offer a one-click migrate path. For Phase 1, just mint/hold/use genSOL, and use it across DeFi platforms.
